If bright colours and gloss finishes are not your thing then our traditional range of cabinets should suit your tastes.
We can offer in-frame, lay on or solid wood doors, in painted or lacquered finishes and in a wide range of colours. In our showroom you can see Georgian style doors in a smooth lacquer finish painted in bold “aubergine”, a solid wood shaker door painted in “oyster” and a chamfered shaker door painted in “hickory”. We have samples of several other door styles and colour options for you to see too.
If you want something completely different then our bespoke partners Davonport are able to make you exactly what you’re imagining, there needn’t be any limit to your creativity!
All of our kitchens are designed to fit your budget so please give us call to arrange an appointment with a designer. If you have existing plans why not bring them along. Traditional shaker, Anthracite and Limestone
This Chippendale Kitchen design beautifully combines Classic Shaker cabinets in a mix of Limestone and Anthracite with work surfaces in Antarctica by Corian. Cooking appliances are Neff single oven, compact combination oven and warming drawer, with a piano style hob and downdraft extractor on the Island. A classic Villeroy & Boch sink with Perrin & RoweTap complete this stunning Traditional style with a contemporary twist. Once again the eye-catching metallic elements contrast perfectly.

A square framed door with a raised and fielded centre panel in a smooth Ivory finish. Classic styling in a traditional colour, so easy to personalise with worktop choices and handle options.
Bespoke painted Kitchen
This stunning kitchen and entertaining space was part of a huge building and renovation project undertaken by our customers. The family worked with our designer to make sure they were maximising the large room for it's many uses. A bespoke marble in-laid worktop on the Island was comissioned by tthe customer to finish off the Island and adds a striking talking point.
Chippendale Ivory shaker with laminate worktop
This competitively priced kitchen from the British-made Chippendale range, is to demonstrate what can be achieved for under £5000. The project price includes all cabinets, doors, handles, textured laminate worktops, stainless steel sink and mixer tap, as well as the built in appliance package from Blomberg, this includes a double built-under oven, ceramic hob, chimney style extractor, built-in fridge, built-in slimline dishwasher and freestanding washing machine. The Traditional shaker door in Ivory Prelude has a practical Matt finish, the doors and drawer fronts are 19mm PVC wrapped for maximum durability. The cabinet interiors are a beautiful sand oak finish rather than white, this wood effect interior has many benefits as well as helping to carry through the traditional theme. The straight metal finish handles pick up on this popular trend and compliment the linea look, while the textured Laminate worktop and matching upstand in Clay Sansha Wenge from Duropal has a slighly textured wood grain feel. The simple traditional style is perfectly suited to any family home with its clean lines and ample storage but would also at home in a renovation project or rental property.
Bespoke Shaker Kitchen with Corian Worksurface
This bespoke hand-painted shaker kitchen was designed with the customers’ treasured object and knick-knacks in mind. Special illuminated niches were used to set these items off without cluttering the hard working areas of the kitchen. The veined Corian worktop tones in perfect with the paint used for the cabinets and the wrap around breakfast section gives this traditional kitchen a sleek modern twist.

The traditional wood effect kitchen is still a very popular choice, the warmth of the wood grain coupled with the practicallity of the door style is most importatnt when considering form and function of your kitchen. Whether you opt for light , medium or dark wood there will always be a complimenting floor and worktop choice.
At Martins we have been designing and installing kitchens for over forty years and as you step through our doors and into our relaxed, friendly showroom, you will be offered a unique package when you ask us to design and install your kitchen. Our design team will be able to guide you through the process of choosing a door style, worktops and accessories, the appliance team will ascertain your appliance needs and recommend the best options and our Installation Manager will co-ordinate all the elements of the installation including plumbing, electrics and building works if necessary.
