With only a few days until "The most magical time of the year" I thought it was time to give you some of my favourite steam cooking recipes, these are either dishes we have prepared in the showroom during demonstrations or given to us by our home economist friends at Miele or AEG, so you know they're well tested and approved. Below I hope you find a good selection of food for all occasions with plenty of scope for adding your own twist or version.
Don't forget all you steam oven owners, that steam can also be used to re-heat foods, granted it's not as fast as a microwave but who wants curly crispy edges to their re-purposed food? when it can come out looking as fresh as when it was first cooked , re-heating on a steam programme really is much better and heats far more evenly.
Party time is fast approaching, whether you are entertaining a large crowd, a select few, or just a quiet night in, the food choices for the season are vast and varied. Gone are the days of pineapple and cheese on sticks (although this still goes remarkably well with prosecco !)
One of the most obvious items requiring regular treatment of this type is Baby bottles and teats, bowls or drinking beakers, these can be placed in any type or container to make it easy to do a large amount at one time.
